Tammie McKenzie-Associate Artistic Director

Tammie McKenzie is a full Professor in the Communications Arts department at Malone University. She serves as the Director of Theatre. Tammie earned her MFA in Acting from Ohio University and her BA in Communication Arts from Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Tammie received her certificate of completion in the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique and is a member of the Michael Chekhov Association (MICHA).

Prior to Malone University, Tammie taught at John Carroll University, Walsh University, Pennsylvania Stage Company, and the Players Guild. Tammie’s directing credits include (favorites)As You Like It, Dancing at Lughnasa, Jane Eyre (Musical), and Master Harold and the Boys.

Tammie’s specialty is equipping BA students for graduate school and other professional theatre opportunities. She looks forward to the joy and freedom experienced through her work in the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique.
