Module 2 Overview

In Module 2 you will gain:

  • A deeper Knowledge of the principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique
  • The ability to apply the basic tools of the Technique to more complex dramatic text
  • The ability to practice Chekhov-based tools that were developed by practitioners of his technique and apply to them to complex dramatic text
  • A more sophisticated knowledge of the connection between theory and practice
  • In addition, participants on the teacher track will gain:
  • Greater proficiency in employing a warm-up using the concepts that Michael Chekhov developed
  • The ability to develop and teach a warm-up employing the principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique
  • A beginning ability to employ the principles in Lessons for Teachers to the delivery of a warm-up

Module 3 Overview

In Module 3 you will gain:

  • The ability to apply the principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique to your work as teacher and/or actor and director
  • The ability to apply the tools learned in Module 1 and 2 to advanced scenes
  • The ability to apply advanced tools of the Michael Chekhov Technique to advanced scenes
  • In addition, participants on the teacher track will gain:
  • The ability to develop and deliver a lesson on one of the tools of the Michael Chekhov Technique
  • The ability to apply the principles of Lessons for Teachers to the delivery of a lesson in the Michael Chekhov Technique

Module 4 Overview:

Module 4 is a new opportunity for GLMCC alums to return to the annual conference and their Michael Chekhov community.

They will spend the afternoon and evening sessions observing teachers present the foundational tools and concepts of Module 1, as well as select tool presentations in Modules2 and 3. The opportunity also exists to join as active participants in the 'all-skates' (all 4 modules working together).

And in a focused and personal learning environment, Module 4 participants will have the opportunity to request specific workshop topics from their 4 Lead teachers, and then spend each morning in a small group setting with their fellow alums working on their chosen topics with the Lead teachers.

A minimum of 6 GLMCC certified participants is required for Module 4 to run; deposits will be fully refunded if that number is not met.
